BOARD OF DIRECTORS 

Jason Dufner 

Jason is a member of the Jason Dufner Foundation and is a five-time PGA Tour winner. Jason was a walk-on at Auburn University where he won three times in his college career and was an Honorable Mention All-American. He graduated from Auburn in 2000 with a B.A. degree in Economics. He is an activist that strives to combat food insecurity effecting children and their families. 

 

Lon Simpson 

Lonnie Gene Simpson Jr. is a founding partner of 20/20 Wealth Management Group, LLC.  Lon began his career in the financial services industry in 1999, with J. C. Bradford and Co., then with UBS as a financial advisor. He was approached by Troy Bank and Trust company in 2002, to serve in the positions of investment advisor and vice-president. In 2006, he and his family moved to Auburn, AL. In 2007, Lon began his new career as an independent advisor. He received his B.S. from Troy University in economics and currently holds FINRA Series 7, 66, 24 and 51 securities registrations. He and his wife Luann have two teenage daughters, Sophia, and Lily.  They are members of Cornerstone Church. Lon is an avid golfer.

 

Larry Thorne

Dr. Larry E. Thorne is a pediatrician in Auburn, Alabama and is affiliated with East Alabama Medical Center. He received his medical degree from University of Alabama School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years. Dr. Thorne specializes in Pediatrics and treats children, infants, and adolescents. He is trained to meet the unique needs of children, through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature. 

 

Bobby Poundstone 

Robert Emmett Poundstone IV is a litigator and managing partner of Bradley’s Montgomery office. Bobby Poundstone frequently represents clients in litigation matters pending in federal and state trial and appellate courts. He is AV Preeminent Rated by Martindale-Hubbell® and has experience in both the courtroom and presenting oral arguments to the Alabama Supreme Court. 

 

Bobby is recognized by Best Lawyers in America for Healthcare Litigation. He is a graduate of the Alabama State Bar Leadership Forum and completed the ABA AP Leadership Program. Bobby currently serves in the ABA House of Delegates and has served as a co-chair of multiple ABA Section of Litigation committees. He is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. Bobby is a former National President of the Auburn University Alumni Association. He has served as a member of the Auburn Alumni Association Board of Directors; as a member of the Auburn Trustee Selection Committee for eleven trustee seats; as an ex officio member of the Auburn Foundation Board; and as president of the Montgomery Auburn Club.

 

Bobby’s is married to his wife, Katie and are the proud parents of their children, John, and Claire.

 

STAFF

Barclay Avant, Executive Director

Barclay Avant is the director of the Jason Dufner Foundation. She oversees the packing events for the foundation and the annual golf tournament. Barclay is originally from Mobile, Alabama and holds a B.A. from Birmingham Southern College. She lives in Auburn with her husband Dave and their five children.
